Colombian League – Tigres de Cartagena 18, Toros de Sincelejo 5

Enyel De Los Santos (RP, Licey): IP, H, ER, HR – De Los Santos allowed a homer in the loss as his only blip on his line but you can’t win a game without scoring a run, so this game was over before he even pitched.

Richie Palacios (DH, Mayaguez): 1-4, R – Not a huge performance from Palacios but he singled in the eighth and scored on a single by his brother Josh, which proved to be the game winning run.

Johnathan Rodriguez (LF, Carolina): 2-4, R, K – Rodriguez is hitting a solid .273 in the Puerto Rican winter league and scored the game’s only run on a double play after his single in the fourth inning.

Dayan Frias (Monteria, SS): 0-2, 2BB – Frias didn’ follow up his three hit performance with another big hitting performance in this one but he drew a pair of walks, showing off his patience at the plate that hopefully isn’t passivity.

Meibrys Viloria (Cartagena, 1B): 2-4, 2R, 2 RBI, BB – It was a big offensive night for Cartagena and Viloria was in the middle of it. More interesting that he was the DH in the contest on the 29th and then a 1B in this one. Maybe he is saving his catcher reps for Cleveland when spring training starts.
