Johnathan Rodriguez (LF, Carolina): 2-for-4, BB – Rodriguez reached base in three of his five plate appearances in the win Wednesday. He singled right away in the top of the first inning to threaten an early score for Carolina, but was unable to do so. His other single came in the top of the third and he drew a walk in the fifth, but his final two at-bats of the night resulted in outs.

Richie Palacios (2B, Mayaguez): 0-for-3, R, RBI, 3 BBs – Despite not recording a hit, Palacios drew three walks from the leadoff spot. He began the game with a base on balls and added a bases loaded free base that drove in a run in the second. He scored on a triple later in the frame. His third walk of the game came in the fourth inning.

Oscar Gonzalez (LF, Estrelles): 1-for-4, R – Gonzalez had four at-bats in a blowout victory for Estrelles to go to 2-1 in the postseason. His only hit was an infield single in the top of the seventh and he was on for a homerun by the next hitter. He was lifted for a defensive replacement in the bottom half of the inning.

Meibrys Viloria (C, Cartagena): 0-for-1, R, RBI, BB, SF – Viloria drove in a first inning run with a sacrifice fly to left field that ended up being the only run the team needed in the shutout. His walk in the fourth inning resulted in another run. With the game well in hand, Viloria was removed from the game in the top of the sixth.

Dayan Frias (SS, Monteria): 1-for-3, 3B, BB – Frias drew a walk in the second inning and tripled in the fourth, but was unable to get anything going for the Monteria offense in a shutout.
