Arizona Fall League – Salt River Rafters 15, Peoria Javelinas 4
Venezuelan Winter League – Bravos de Margarita 6,Aguilas del Zulia 1
Dominican Winter League – Leones del Escogido 5, Estrellas Orientales 4

David Fry (C, Peoria): 3-4, 2B, PB – Fry collected three hits as hit bat has been solid all fall long, putting up a .294/.837 line. While the bat has been good, the defense behind the plate, on paper, has been less than desirable. At one point, he was 2-14 throwing out runners (while we don’t know how well the pitchers have been holding runners on with the new pickoff rules in place this fall) and this was his third passed ball.

Connor Kokx (CF, Peoria): 1-4, 2 R, OF assist – Kokx had a lot of runners on for him in this one but did manage one hit and scored two runs. He also contributed an outfield assist, throwing out Rockies speedy OF prospect Zac Veen at home to continue a solid al around AFL campaign.

Jaison Chourio (RF, Aguilas): 0-2, K – Chourio now has five plate appearances this winter and is 0-5. Still encouraging that his VWL club is playing him at 17 the way they played his brother Jackson last winter.

Jose Tena (SS, Estrellas): 2-5, R, 2B – With his heater lately, Tena’s average is up over .300 for his Dominican Winter League club as he continues to lead off.
