2022 was arguably one of the best seasons in Cleveland’s player development system in a long time. Maybe ever? It’s not every year a team sends 17 prospects to the majors leagues for a debut. In fact, it was the most ever in franchise history. There were times this season when it felt like someone was making their major league debut in Cleveland every other day. In addition to the prospects that made their debut in 2022, there were several more prospects who had strong seasons.
Our first 2022 ‘awards’ piece is the All-Prospect teams for the Guardians, with first and second team selections. In order to be eligible for this list, the prospect had to play more games in the minors than in the majors. So while Steven Kwan undoubtedly had an incredible rookie year in the majors, he played all his games in the majors this year, so that is why you won’t see him on this list. But without further ado, here are the team selections.
