Triple-A: Columbus Clippers 11, Indianapolis Indians 5
Double-A: Akron RubberDucks 7, Somerset Patriots 1
High-A: Lake County Captains 5, Fort Wayne TinCaps 3
Low-A: Lynchburg Hillcats 6, Fredericksburg Nationals 4

Will Brennan (LF, Columbus): 3-5, 2B, R, RBI, BB – Brennan at one point was 5-5 over two games after going 4-4 with a walk Saturday. In the series at Indianapolis, Brennan went 16-25 with two doubles, five walks, five strikeouts and four steals in four chances. Quite a weekend.

Alex Call (RF, Columbus): 2-4, 2 RBI, 2 BB – Call also had a big weekend at Indianapolis with a homer but finished the weekend by getting on base two more times and driving in two more.

Trenton Brooks (1B, Columbus): 3-5, 2 2B – Brooks is still hitting a little in spite of the fact that the roster is getting crowded for him between the outfield and first base. That should bode well for him for another team’s interest in him.

Gavin Collins (C, Columbus): 2-5, HR, 4 RBI – Collins’ homer in the fifth gave the Clippers the lead that they later blew open.

RHP Gavin Williams (SP, Akron): 5.2IP, H, ER, 3BB, 5K – Williams only allowed a hit in his Double-A debut despite just throwing 55% strikes and putting three runners on.

George Valera (LF, Akron): 2-4, HR, RBI, BB, K – The ninth homer of the season for Valera got Akron on the board in the third inning, the RubberDucks only runs until the 10th inning.

Jonathan Engelmann (RF, Akron): 2-3, 2B, HR, 4 RBI – Englamann doubled and then hit a grand slam in the ninth inning to break open the game and give the ‘Ducks the win in the 10th.

Jhonkensy Noel (RF, Lake County): 1-4, HR, 2 RBI – Noel didn’t have a lot of hits in this Fort Wayne series, but when he did, they were impactful, like his two run homer in the ninth to give Lake County a 3-2 lead.

Petey Halpin (CF, Lake County): 2-3, 3B, BB – A really good day for Halpin, reaching base three times, drawing a walk and notching an extra base hit, as well as breaking up the no-hitter with a bunt.

Gabriel Rodriguez (3B, Lake County): 2-4, 2B, 2 RBI – His double in the ninth broke the game open as Rodriguez had a huge series for the Captains as well.

Jake Fox (CF, Lynchburg): 2-4, 2 2B, RBI, BB – Fox had a solid day at the top of the Hillcats order, getting on base three times and picking up two extra base hits.

Yords Valdes (2B, Lynchburg): 2-4, HR, RBI – Valdes hit his first homer of the season, a one out solo blast in the first.

RHP James Karinchak (RP, Columbus): IP, H, 2BB, 2K – Another inning with Karinchak looking to find his footing during his rehab. He allowed three base runners but got away with it in Triple-A.

Notable Performances

LHP Adam Scott (RP, Columbus): IP, BB – Notable due to the fact he pitched in a game and didn’t start, so this makes figuring out his current role interesting now.

LHP Andrew Misiaszek (RP, Akron): 1.1IP, H, 3K – Misaszek continued his dominance out of the pen this year by striking out three of the five batters he faced on Sunday.

RHP Jerson Ramirez (RP, Akron): 2IP, 2H, BB, 2K – He allowed three base runners, but Ramirez pitched an important two innings out of the pen for Akron and threw up some zeroes.

RHP Cade Smith (RP, Lake County): 2IP, 2K – The Captains bullpen was solid all series long and Smith wrapped up a good win for the club.

Dayan Frias (3B, Lynchburg): 2-5, 2B, RBI – Frias was one of four players with at least two hits Sunday for the Hillcats.

Jorge Burgos (RF, Lynchburg): 2-5, 2B, RBI – Another Hillcat with two htis, a double and an RBI. It was very contagious.

Milan Tolentino (SS, Lynchburg): 2-5, R – Two hits for Tolentino, who had slowed down some, but didn’t have an extra base hit or RBI.

Victor Planchart (C, Lynchburg): 2-5, 2B, 2 RBI – Three more total bases for Planchart and a pair of RBI.

Luis Durango Jr (LF, Lynchburg): 2-4, 2B, 2 R – Durango scores plenty when he gets on base and even picked up an extra basehit.

RHP Trenton Denholm (SP, Lynchburg); 5IP, 5H, 3ER, 6K – It wasn’t as good as his 10 strikeout start earlier this week but this was still a solid way to end the week.

RHP Tyler Thornton (RP, Lynchburg): IP, BB, 3K – Struck out the side and just put one on in another solid performance by the 2021 pic.
