Prospect of the Week

SS Milan Tolentino (8/15, 2 2B, 8 R, RBI, 6 BB, 2 SB -.533/.667/.667)

Tolentino was electric the past week as he continued to be the best hitter on this Hillcats team. Not only did he light it up at the plate, he was impressive this week with his base running skills as he stole two bases. The 2020 4th round pick leads the Hillcats in hits, batting average and on-base percentage.

Who’s hot

1B Will Bartlett (4/13, 2 2B, 2 RBI, 2 BB – .308/.400/.462)

Bartlett has shown defensive talent all year at first base but his plate appearances have improved this week. He brought home two runs and had six total bases

CF Luis Durango (5/14, 2 R, 2 RBI, 2 SB – .357/.357/.357)

Durango had a great week with five hits and threw in quality defense in the outfield to compliment his plate appearances.

P Davis Sharpe (4.2 IP, 9 Ks, 3 H, 0 ER)

Sharpe is one of the older players on the Hillcats and he certainly has led by example this year through his play. He has a 0.75 ERA in 12 innings this season and has struck out 19 batters.

Who’s not

Yeury Gervacio (1.1 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 3 Ks)

Gervacio had a rough outing this week as he allowed a homerun, hit a batter and walked three in just 1 and 1/3 innings pitched.

C Richard Paz (1/12, 2 RBI, 3 BB, 2 SO – .083/.267/.083

Paz had a tough week at the plate. He was able to make plenty of contact but couldn’t get the ball to roll his way. He did have an RBI and walked three times which helps offset some of the struggle.
