Sandy Leon (Colombia, C): 2-4, 1 R – Leon was one of five Caimanes (and the only one in the bottom third of the order) with a two-hit semifinal as the Barranquilla nine punched their ticket to the championship game of Caribbean baseball later today at 6 PM EST (ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ – both in Spanish). They will face the winner of last night’s second semifinal between Mexico (Derrick Loop’s Charros de Jalisco) and the host Dominican Republic (Gigantes del Cibao).
