Estrellas Orientales 11, Aguilas Cibaenas 5

George Valera (RF, Estrellas Orientales): 1-4, R – Valera got another start for his postseason winter club after struggling for a bit and did some through with one hit, but he also left three on base. Cleveland’s top prospect is getting some good seasoning in a very competitive environment this winter even if he is struggling a bit.

Vaqueros de Monteria 3, Caimanes de Barranquilla 2

Dayan Frias (SS, Vaqueros de Monteria): 1-3, RBI – Frias drove in what proved to be the winning run for his club in the bottom of the eighth with a single, though he tried to stretch it into a double and was thrown out to the end the inning. Lucky for him, his team held on in the ninth for the win.

Sandy Leon (C, Caimanes de Barranquilla): 1-4 – Leon seems to collect a hit every time he plays or so, which is good for him. He’s been unspectacular the most part, but solid. If he’s the Guardians backup catcher in 2022, I guess hope that carries over, because his 2020 was anything but solid.
