After another successful minor league season of coverage and some new faces, the newly re-minted Guardians Baseball Insider is looking for new staff and interns in 2022.

GBI is looking for writers from staff regulars to cover minor league affiliates and the major league team as beat writers and additional coverage.

We are looking to fill the following intern/writing spots

  • Cleveland Guardians beat writer
  • Columbus Clippers beat writer
  • Akron RubberDucks beat writer
  • Lynchburg Hillcats in Lynchburg, Virginia
  • Arizona Complex League Guardians in Goodyear, Arizona

We are also looking for photography/videographer interns in any of these areas. You must live in or near these areas and be willing to commit to covering these teams bi-weekly and writing weekly on them.

GBI is also looking to add a columnist focused on data/analytics of the Cleveland Guardians and other analysis.

We have good relationships with the teams and are able to get credentials and provide press box experience, interview experience with professional athletes and coaches and making connections. Any college student looking to get into sports media is encouraged to reach out about these opportunities but we do have several staff writers who do this as a hobby and are willing to add to our staff with people who just want the chance to write about baseball.

Some prior writing experience and knowledge of baseball and the minor leagues is preferred. There is an opportunity for some of these positions to have a small monthly payout based on contribution level and experience.

Reach out to Justin Lada on twitter @JL_Baseball to inquire.
