Enyel De Los Santos (Licey, RP): H (2), 1 IP, perfect, 1 K – De Los Santos remains unscored upon in nine LIDOM innings this season after hurling a perfect seventh in his first game since signing with the Guardians. De Los Santos, who has appeared in 45 major league games playing for both Pennsylvania clubs in the Senior Circuit, has allowed only three hits and two walks while striking out 14 in his six Dominican outings so far in 2021-22.
Anthony Gose (Toros, RP): 0.2 IP, 1 H, 1 K – Gose kept an ugly top of the eighth from getting any worse with a solid clean-up effort that the Toro offense was unfortunately unable to take advantage of. Anthony’s shutout streak now stands at 4.2 innings in six games dating back to November 16.
Angel Lopez (RA12, DH): 0-3, 1 K – Lopez failed to capitalize on the momentum from a solid Tuesday as he went hitless on Wednesday.
Daniel Aguilar (Gigantes, LF): 1-3, 1 BB, 1 SB – Aguilar extended his hitting streak to three games ion the day he stole his first base of the season.
Angel Contreras (Cartagena, DH/C): 0-4, 1 R, 2 K – Look, I have no idea why Contreras was catching, either. I’m just reporting what I saw. Also, for those wondering, he scored after reaching on a an E5 (fielding) to start the bottom of the fifth.
