Our 2021 best tools in the Cleveland Guardians farm system jumps back to the pitching side today with the best changeup in the farm system. As with any pitch, we take a look at overall movement of the pitch, effectiveness, metrics we have available and the ability to command it.
So far, we’ve looked at the best fastball, curveball and slider. The changeup is the final ‘best pitch’ in our 2021 series for best tools in the Cleveland farm system. In the past, Eli Morgan has dominated this category since his draft year. And for the first time since his draft year of 2017, this might be the first year someone in the system has a better changeup.
As always, voting is three points for first place, two for second, and one for third.
Let’s see how the voting for the best changeup in the Cleveland Guardians farm system in 2021 turned out.
