Continuing with our best tools series in the 2021 Cleveland Guardians farm system we move onto best plate discipline.
This is a pretty straight forward category. Players with high walk rates tend to show the best eye for the strike zone and overall plate discipline. Sometimes walks come from being more passive than patient, but in the walk rate range that these players all exhibit, this is going to be more patient than passive for most of them.
As usual, our voting system is three points for the highest rank, two for second and one for third.
Our evaluators Justin Lada, Willie Hood and Joe Coblitz voted for best plate discipline in the Cleveland farm system in 2021 this way:
