Matt Turner (RP): L (0-2), BS (1), 1.2 IP, 3 H, 2 R (both earned), 1 BB, 1 K, 2 HR allowed – Turner’s disastrous autumnal campaign (12.27 ERA, 2.36 WHIP, .392 opponents; AVG, 8:6 K:BB, 6 HR allowed in eleven innings in eight games) came to a merciful end on Friday, but not before he sent out the Tribe unis (but not the name, that was last worn Wednesday in the Scorpions’ home finale) out on an ignominious note, allowing a walk-off homer to Orioles second base prospect Greg Cullen (who DHed yesterday).
PUERTO RICAN LEAGUE (LBPRC)
Johnathan Rodriguez (Carolina, starting RF): 1-3, 2 K – J-Rod’s plate discipline waned again on Friday, but he did hit his second single of the LBPRC season.
Gianpaul Gonzalez (Carolina, PH-backup C): 0-2, 1 K – Unlike Thursday, Gonzalez had a relatively uneventful evening, including starting the game on the bench.
COLOMBIAN LEAGUE (LPB)
Daniel Aguilar (Gigantes, PH-backup LF): 1-2, 1 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 K – Aguilar hit his first extra-base hit of the season out of the park on a pinch-hit homer to deep right in the top of the seventh.
Dayan Frias (Monteria, SS): 0-3, 1 K – Frias followed up his clutch Thursday with a hitless Friday.
