This week culminated with the annual Fall Stars game on Saturday featuring Jose Tena and Richie Palacios as reserves. While the West attempted to come back in the sixth, the East won this one in the first with a four run inning, long before either Cleveland prospect got into the game. Prior to that, the Scorpions went 3-2 throughout the week, starting with a one run loss to the Solar Sox in a game where both teams combined for 21 runs.
With two scheduled off days next week in addition to having Sunday off, the Scorpions have just three games left before the championship on Saturday. As they sit 3.5 games back of the first place Sox, they have effectively been eliminated from contention.

Player of the Week
IF Jose Tena – 3/13, 4 R, RBI
Tena slowed down a bit after his extremely hot weeks three and four, but still had a positive week. He had two hits on the eighth and scored both times, then had another on the tenth and scored again. He went hitless on the twelfth, but reached on a fielder’s choice and scored in the first inning. He added a sac fly in the second for his only RBI on the week. He is now hitting .393/.471/.482 for the season and ranks third in the league in average.
OF Richie Palacios: 2/12, 1 2B, R, RBI, BB
Like Tena, Palacios has slowed after a hot start with both of his hits this week coming in his first game. He doubled in that game, scored and knocked in a run before going 0 for 7 in his next two games.
RP Aaron Pinto: 2.2 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 4 K
Pinto continued to turn around his season with another pair of scoreless appearances this week. He pitched 1.2 innings on the eighth, allowing one hit and a walk while striking out two. He came into another game in relief on the eleventh and struck out two in a perfect fourth inning.
SP Tanner Tully: 4 IP, 6 H, 6 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, 2 HR
Tully made the first start of the week for the Scorpions and allowed six runs on six hits including two homers. Despite scoring 10 runs in the first three innings, the Scorpions ended up losing this one as the Solar Sox scored 11 unanswered runs starting with the six given up by Tully in the third and fourth innings. He continues on with a rough fall season and now has a 7.94 ERA across 17 innings and has allowed a league high five home runs.
