Michael Amditis (C): 1-5, 2 K – For most of the game, Amditis looked like an A-Ball guy dropped into the pressure cooker of the Fall League (which he is). In the bottom of the ninth and down to the Scorpions’ last strike of the game, however, he hit a clutch RBI single to put the Scottsdale side within two runs.

Jose Tena (SS): 1-3, 2 R, 2 BB – While his statline hasn’t been as flashy as that of Richie Palacios, Tena has been a solid, consistent offensive performer for the Scorpions, his inability to capitalize on Amditis’ extension of the game notwithstanding (grounded out 4-3 to end the game).

Aaron Pinto (RP): 1.2 IP, 4 H, 3 R (all earned), 2 BB, 1 K, 1 Pickoff – The true test of Pinto’s AFL stint will come in April when we see how much facing a higher level of competition has prepared him for his likely season-opening assignment to Triple-A Columbus.
