Mesa Solar Sox 13, Scottsdale Scorpions

Richie Palacios (LF, Scottsdale): 1-3, 2B, 2 RBI, BB – Palacios helped to give the Scorpions an early 4-0 lead that was quickly erased, as you’ll read. But in two games Palacios has three walks and a couple hits, picking up right where he left off in Columbus this year as an on base machine.

Aaron Pinto (RP, Scottsdale): 0 IP, 5H, 6ER, BB – Pinto didn’t record a single out. Yikes. He threw 22 strikes in 31 pitches, so it wasn’t like he wasn’t his strike throwing self – he just got hit.

Matt Turner (RP, Scottsdale): 0 IP, 4H, 3ER, BB – Turner also didn’t get any outs in the game in his five batters faced, allowing three runs and a walk.

Damon Casetta-Stubbs (RP, Scottsdale): 1.1IP, 4BB, 3K – Casetta-Stubbs on the other hand, could not throw strikes. (16/39) He gave up four free passes in his inning but somehow fanned three and didn’t allow a run. Go figure.
