HIGHLIGHTS

Roberto Perez (Akron, starting C): 3-4, 1 R, 1 2B, 2 RBI – Perez hit the ground running in his rehab debut, which is music to the ears of a Big Club utterly depleted of backstops.

Brayan Rocchio (Akron, SS): 2-4, 3 R, 2 2B, 2 RBI, 1 BB – Rocchio finishes August scoring 18 runs and driving in 19 (subtracting the five home runs, he was involved in 32 runs during the month) following this stellar night at the plate.

George Valera (Akron, RF): 2-5, 1 R, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 3 K – Valera finished the month on a hot streak, with Tuesday’s multi-hit game being his fourth in his last six games.  In those games, he went 8-for-24 (.333) with six RBI.

Yefri Rivera (DSL Red, SS): 4-6,  R, 1 3B, 3 RBI. 1 K – It’s rare that DSL players get featured in ATF, but it’s also rare to see these kind of monster numbers from a DSL guy, especially from the struggling Red side.

BEST OF THE REST

Logan T. Allen (Akron, SP): W (3-0), 6 IP, 3 H, 6 K – Allen dominated in his best outing since being promoted to the RubberDucks.

Jose Tena (Lake County, SS): 1-4, 1 R, 1 2B – Tena extended his hitting streak to seven games with his 22nd double of the season and third of the streak.

Jhonkensy Noel (Lake County, 3B): 1-3, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 K, 1 SB – Noel ended August on a five-game hitting streak during which he is 8-for-17 (.471).

Johnathan Rodriguez (Lake County, RF): 2-4, 1 R, 1 RBI, 2 K, 1 SB – Rodriguez’s multi-hit effort was the only one for the Captains in last night’s pitchers’ duel.

Jorge Burgos (Lynchburg, RF): 2-4, 1 K, 1 E – Burgos has followed up a hitless non-complex with a five-game hitting streak that includes an active three-game multi-hit streak.  During the multi-hit streak, he is 8-for-13 (.615) with five runs scored and four driven in.

Angel Genao (DSL Blue, SS): 2-4, 2 R, 1 3B – Genao has reached base in 17 straight games and is 9-for-27 (.333) during his active seven-game hitting streak.

Manuel Mejias (DSL Blue, C): 2-4, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 RBI – Mejias is 9-for-21 (.429) with eleven total bases during a six-game hitting streak.
