HIGHLIGHTS

Will Benson (Columbus, CF): 3-3, 1 R, 1 2B, 1 BB – Benson is off to a hot start at the Triple-A level.  In his first three games as a Clipper, he has four hits, two of them doubles, in ten at-bats.  This is even more impressive when you consider that this all started with an 0-for-3 level debut.

Angel Martinez (Lynchburg, 2B): 2-3, 4 RBI, 2 BB, 1 SB – Martinez ended a four-game RBI drought (during which he went 2-for-15) in spectacular fashion to help propel the Hillcats to the organization’s only non-complex victory of Tuesday.

MAJOR LEAGUE REHABS

Bobby Bradley (Lake County, starting 1B): 0-2, 2 K – Bradley’s return to the field was unimpressive, but he did return to the field.

Harold Ramirez (Lake County, starting LF): 0-2 – See Bradley, Bobby, minus the strikeouts.

THE REST

Connor Marabell (Columbus, DH): 2-3, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 BB – Marabell’s fourth two-hit game in his last five continued a stellar August during which he has slashed .352/.400/.556.

George Valera (Akron, RF): 1-3, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 K – Valera reached base twice in his Double-A debut.

Victor Nova (Akron, 3B): 1-3, 1 BB, 2 K, 1 E – Nova did the same in his first game as a RubberDuck.

Joe Naranjo (Lake County 1B): 2-3, 1 R, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 1 K – Naranjo, who replaced Bradley after his rehab work was completed, highlighted a rough night, to say the least, for the Captains.

Christian Cairo (Lake County 2B): 1-1, 1 R – Not a bad way to start one’s High-A career.

Miguel Jerez (Lynchburg, 1B): 2-3, 2 R, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 1 BB, 1 K, 2 HBP – Six of Jerez’s 17 RBI this season have come in his last five games.

Korey Holland (Lynchburg, LF): 0-3, 3 R, 3 BB, 1 K – Holland’s season-high in walks (which also tied his career high), was very productive.

Luis Durango (ACL, CF): 1-5, 2 R, 2 K, 1 SB – Durango stole his 24h base of the season (in 30 attempts) in only his 35th game of the season (and his professional career).

Dayan Frias (ACL, SS): 3-5, 2 R, 1 3B, 1 K – Frias extended his hitting streak to five games with his second three-hit game in his last three.

Connor Kokx (ACL, starting RF): 2-3, 1 R, 1 RBI – A great start to the professional career of this season’s twelfth-round pick.

Jake Fox (ACL, starting 2B): 1-1, 1 BB – The Tribe’s third-rounder also made his debut and was perfect at the plate.

Alan Romero (DSL Blue, C): 2-4, 1 2B, 1 K, 1 E – Romero has hit the ground running to start his professional career, hitting ,500 (3-for-6) with a double and RBI in his first two games.

Esteban Gonzalez (DSL Red, CF): 2-4, 1 R, 1 2B – Gonzalez made it back-to-back multi-hit games (combined 5-for-10, 2 R, 2 2B, 4 RBI) to highlight another rough game for the 9-17 Red side.
