Quality of Opposition (QoO) numbers per Baseball Reference

Antonio Senzatela (1st-5th innings): MLB #4 starter
Jordan Sheffield (6th inning): MLB long reliever
Robert Stephenson (7th inning): MLB middle reliever
Jairo Diaz (8th inning): MLB middle reliever

Alex Call (CF): 1-1, 1 R – Call singled off of Diaz and scored on a home run off the bat of…

Owen Miller (2B): 1-1, 1 R, 1 HR, 3 RBI – Miller’s homer was his first of the spring and his second extra-base hit in Arizona.

Tyler Krieger (LF): 0-1, 1 K – Kieger struck out swinging in the eighth to end the Tribe’s day at the plate.

Beau Taylor (C): 0-1 – Taylor lined out for his eleventh out in 14 plate appearances this spring (5.8 QoO entering yesterday’s game).

Tyler Freeman (SS): 1-1, 1 R – Freeman, who entered the day with a 1.030 OPS against 5.9 pitching, hit a single and later scored Also on the Miller homer) his only plate appearance on the day he learned he was headed to Columbus to start the season.

The following reserves did not make a plate appearance:

Will Benson (RF)
Connor Marabell (1B)

Logan Allen: 5 IP, 3 H, 2 BB, 7 K – A spectacular outing that likely eliminated any doubt that Allen will start the season as the Tribe;s fourth starter.

Cal Quantrill: H (1), 1 IP, 1 K – The most notable aspect of this outing is that Quantrill was suddenly shifted to a relief role this late in Spring Training. Might this be a sign that Quantrill will fill the reliever transitioning to fifth starter role and Triston McKenzie is headed to Columbus?
