MEXICAN PACIFIC LEAGUE (LMP) PLAYOFFS – SERIE FINAL GAME 5 (BEST-OF-7)

TOMATEROS DE CULIACAN 4, NARANJEROS DE HERMOSILLO 3 (HERMOSILLO LEADS SERIES 3-2)

FORMER INDIANS

Jose Guadalupe Chavez (SS, Tomateros de Culiacan): 1-5, 1 2B, 2 E – Chavez led off the bottom of the first with a fly ball double to right field. It was his first extra-base hit since Game 1 of the semifinals on January 15, when he also doubled against the Yaquis de Obregon.

J.C. Ramirez (SP, Tomateros de Culiacan): ND, 5.1 IP, 4 H, 3 R (1 earned), 2 BB, 4 K – Ramirez’s solid start was a significant factor in the Tomateros extending the series, but a fourth-inning fielding error by 3B Michael Wing cost him the individual victory.

CARIBBEAN SERIES – BROADCAST DETAILS

While I will preview the Serie del Caribe in more detail in Sunday’s column (recapping Saturday’s action), I am providing a guide on how to watch the games now as the Series begins on Sunday and some of you may not read ATF that day before the first game starts.

The Series will air on ESPN Deportes. I am not aware of any English-language broadcast. I will note it in the Sunday column and on my Twitter page (@ArthurOnSports) if I find out there is one. While broadcast start times vary by day, first pitch times are consistent (all time PM Eastern):

Round Robin – Sunday through next Thursday – 2:00, 6:00, and 10:00

Semifinals – next Friday – 6:00 and 10:00

Championship Game – next Saturday – 10:00
