PUERTO RICAN LEAGUE (LBPRC)
Johnathan Rodriguez (RF, Atenienses de Manati) – 0-2, 1 SO – Rodriguez didn’t get a base hit but he did advance Ray Morales to second base on a groundout in the fourth inning which paved the way for Edwin Arroyo to bring him home an a RBI-double to tie the game.
Joab Gonzalez (SS, RA12) – 0-2, 1 RBI, 1 SO – Gonzalez’s sac fly in the fourth inning was all RA12 needed to finally get its first win of the Puerto Rican League.
Jonathan Laureano (1B, Indios de Mayaguez) – 0-0 – Laureano came into the game in the ninth inning as a defensive replacement for Xavier Valentin.
VENEZUELAN LEAGUE (LVBP)
Anthony Vizcaya (RP, Navegantes del Magallanes) – 1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R/ER, 0 BB, 0 SO – The righty bounced back after a tough outing yesterday. He’s allowed just three runs in 14 games in the Venezuelan League.

Niuman Romero (3B, Caribes de Anzoategui) – 0-1 – The third baseman only had one at-bat as he was pulled from the game in the fourth inning and replaced by Fernandi Kelli.
Henry Martinez (RP, Caribes de Anzoategui) – 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R/ER, 1 BB, 0 SO – Martinez was shaky to start the eighth inning after allowing the first two batters to reach but did his best impression of Houdini by retiring the next three batters to escape unscathed.
Yonathan Mendoza (DH, Cardenales de Lara) – 1-5, 1 SO – Mendoza extended his on-base streak to seven games as he singled with two outs in the ninth frame.
Carlos Rivero (3B, Cardenales de Lara) – 1-3, 1 BB – Whatever injury Rivero suffered on Tuesday was not serious enough to keep him on the bench. Despite getting a hit he left some runners on base in the fifth inning as he grounded out with two men on the base paths.
Luis Oviedo (RP, Cardenales de Lara) – 2.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R/ER, 1 BB, 1 SO – The former Indians’ pitching prospect was teetering on the edge of disaster to start the sixth inning as he allowed two base hits to put runners at the corners with just one out but got Monasterio to ground into an inning-ending double play.
Yapson Gomez (RP, Cardenales de Lara) – 0.1 IP, 3 H, 2 R/ER, 1 BB, 0 SO – The southpaw’s run of flawless relief came to an end. He allowed two runs on four straight hits to open the eighth and left with the bases loaded.

Oscar Gonzalez (LF, Estrellas Orientales) – 2-2, 1 RBI – Gonzalez came off the bench to take over for Eric Filia in left field during the fourth inning. He would then go perfect at the plate including an insurance RBI-single in the eighth frame.
Francisco Mejia (DH, Estrellas Orientales) – 1-4, 1 SO – Mejia led off the ninth with a single to try and get something going but it was no use.
Sandy León (C, Tigres del Licey) – 1-4 – León’s sole hit came in the fifth inning. He had a chance to drive some runs home in the second inning but grounded out to end the frame.
MEXICAN PACIFIC LEAGUE (LMP)
Brennan Bernardino (RP, Charros de Jalisco) – 0.2 IP, 1 BS, 4 R/1 ER, 2 BB, 0 SO – The southpaw was called on for the save with Charros de Jalisco holding a three-run lead. That washed away in the blink of an eye as Bernardino loaded the bases then paid the price on a fielding error by the third baseman to see two runs cross home plate. He had a chance to get out of it by getting a double play but then threw a wild pitch to watch Sultanes de Monterrey walk it off.
Jose Guadalupe Chavez (SS, Tomateros de Culiacan) – 2-4, 1 2B, 1 SO – Chavez doubled in the third with two outs to put runners at second and third but Ramiro Pena couldn’t get the job done and flied out
