Angel Lopez Alvarez (DH, RA12): 0-3, 2 K, 1 HBP – Lopez Alvarez, who is now batting .107, reached base on Tuesday, albeit not in the way he would have hoped to.
Joab Gonzalez (2B, RA12): 0-2, 1 BB, 2 K – Gonzalez did not put the ball into play in any of this thee plate appearances yesterday.

Andruw Monasterio (2B, Caribes de Anzoategui): 2-4, 1 R,1 HR, 1 RBI – Monasterio’s stellar Caribbean campaign continues. he is now slashing .375/.419/.550 with five RBI in 1 games this LVBP season.
Yonathan Mendoza (DH, Cardenales de Lara): 2-5, 2 R, 1 RBI, 2 K – Mendoza has rebounded from a three-game on-base drought during which he only reached by getting hit by a pitch to post a six-game on-base streak with one or more hits in five of those games.
Carlos Rivero (starting 3B, Cardenales de Lara): 0-3, 1 HBP – Rivero was pinch-ran for after standing at first base for one subsequent at-bat following being hit in the ninth inning. Hopefully, the injury is not serious.
Yapson Gomez (RP, Cardenales de Lara): 1.1 IP, perfect – Gomez got the last out of the sixth before throwing a perfect seventh to preserve his untainted ERA (only one unearned run allowed in 15.1 innings in twelve games).
Niuman Romero (starting 3B, Caribes de Anzoategui): 2-5, 2 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI – Like Monasterio, Romero hit his second home run of the season on Tuesday night, in his case driving in his eighth run of the LVBP campaign.
Henry Martinez (RP, Caribes de Anzoategui): L (1-1), BS (1), 1.1 IP, 4 H, 3 R (2 earned), 1 HR allowed – Martinez doubled his season earned runs allowed total in easily his worst outing of the season.

Juan Apodaca (C, Tiburones de La Guaira): 1-3, 2 R, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 E – Apodaca drove in his fifth run of the season on his first homer of the campaign, a third-inning solo shot.

Alsis Herrera (SP, Leones del Caracas): ND, 4.1 IP, 4 H, 1 R (earned), 3 BB, 3 K, 1 HR allowed – While letting too many runners on base kept Herrera from pitching long enough to earn the individual victory, he did well enough in terms of keeping those runners from crossing the plate safely that he came within one bad pitch of a scoreless outing.
Anthony Vizcaya (RP, Navegantes del Magallanes): BS (2), 1 IP, 2 H, 1 R (earned), 1 K – Vizcaya allowed only his third run of the season in 13 games, but it resulted in his second blown save of the Venezuelan campaign.
TIGRES DE CARTAGENA 9, VAQUEROS DE MONTERIA 2
Dayan Frias (backup 2B, Vaqueros de Monteria): 0-1, 1 K – Frias played three innings in the field and struck out in his lone plate appearance of the afternoon.
CAIMANES DE BARRANQUILLA 14, GIGANTES DE BARRANQUILLA 2
Daniel Aguilar (CF, Gigantes de Barranquilla): 0-4, 2 K, 1 E – Aguilar couldn’t follow up his versatile offensive performance on Monday with another solid night.
Audy Ciriaco (starting 1B, Caimanes de Barranquilla):3-3, 2 R, 3 RBI, 1 BB, 1 SB – Ciriaco, on the other hand, dominated in the Battle of Barranquilla last night.
GIGANTES DEL CIBAO 9, ESTRELLAS ORIENTALES 8 (GAME 1 – 7 INNINGS)
Francisco Mejia (C, Estrellas Orientales): 1-3, 2 R,1 BB, 1 K – Mejia rebounded from an 0-for-3 Sunday doubleheader with his first multi-run game of the season.
TIGRES DEL LICEY 8, AGUILAS CIBAENAS 3
Melky Cabrera (LF, Aguilas Cibaenas): 1-4, 1 BB, 1 K – Cabrera extended his hitting streak to five games on Tuesday night and also has hits in eight of his last nine.
Robel Garcia (2B, Aguilas Cibaenas): 0-4, 1 BB, 2 K – Garcia has alternated games with and without a hit in his last eight played.

Brennan Bernardino (RP, Charros de Jalisco): 0 IP, 1 H – Bernardino came in with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh and immediately gave up the game-winning single.
Jeff Johnson (RP, Sultanes de Monterrey): W (3-0), BS (1), 1 IP, 1 H, 1 R (earned), 1 BB – For those of you new to ATF, the individual victory-blown save combination in one of my pet peeves. This is one of the many issues with the win statistic for pitchers.

Michael Choice (DH, Aguilas de Mexicali): 0-3, 1 K, 1 HBP – Choice’s hitting drought reached five games in the opener of Tuesday’s doubleheader.
TOMATEROS DE CULIACAN 3, AGUILAS DE MEXICALI 1 (GAME 2 – 7 INNINGS)
Jose Guadalupe Chavez (SS, Tomateros de Culiacan): 1-2, 1 K – Chavez just keeps hitting and is now slashing .358/.425/.442 with nine extra-base hits (seven doubles, two homers), eleven RBI, a 14:13 K:BB ratio, and six steals in eight attempts in 37 games this season.
YAQUIS DE OBREGON 9, VENADOS DE MAZATLAN 2
