According to a New York Times report, there will be an announcement this week from the Cleveland organization that they will go through with a change to the team name.

Back in July, Zack Meisel and Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic broke the news that the franchise would consider a name change.

There are no details on a team name or if a new team name will even be unveiled this week, as this may just be the announcement to make if official that the team will finally change its name after 105 years.
