While this given Friday night in Bowie, Md. was hardly a thing of beauty from a pitching perspective (for the most part), it was a thrilling contest that produced some spectacular offensive stat lines.

The star of the night was RubberDucks C Eric Haase, whose three hits included a two-run homer in the top of the 13th and final frame that scored that 1B Nellie Rodriguez for the go-ahead run and himself for the eventual winning tally.

It takes quite an effort for a three-RBI game to be overshadowed but that’s what Haase did to starting LF Clint Frazier, who cleared the bags on a bases-loaded double (his 18th of the season) in the fifth to get the Summit County nine back into a game they had previously trailed 5-1.

Also not to be overlooked is the three-hit day of ‘Ducks leadoff hitter 2B-LF Todd Hankins, who scored from first on Frazier’s aforementioned double.

It wasn’t all bad news on the mound front for the Rubber City side as Perci Garner threw 3.2 innings of scoreless relief, allowing only one hit while striking out a pair.

Other notable names to play in this game include Adam Plutko (who had a rough start) and Bradley Zimmer.
