After going down in order in the top of the first inning and collecting two hits and threatening in the second inning, the Lake County Captains still weren’t on the board yet against the Fort Wayne TinCaps.

Yu Chang singled in a run with two outs in the third to break through followed by a three run homer by Bobby Bradley put Lake County ahead 4-1.

In the fourth inning the Captains upped the ante with seven more runs on six hits including a single by Francisco Mejia, a double by Greg Allen, a double by Yu Chang, singles by Bobby Bradley and Taylor Murphy. Mejia capped off the inning with a two run double that pushed across seven runs.

Bradley popped another homer in the sixth inning while Murphy added a homer in the eighth inning plus another RBI single in the ninth.

In all, Bradley had three hits including two doubles and five RBI on the day. Fan favorite Taylor Murphy had four hits and four RBI.

Mejia also added two RBI while Greg Allen added two hits and two runs and Chang had two hits and three RBI.

Jordan Milbrath was the beneficiary of the two inning, 11 run outburst by pitching five innings of two run ball with six strikeouts and no walks.

In the lineup that day for the TinCaps was current Indian Franmil Reyes who went 0-4 with an RBI.
