The Buffalo Bison hosted the Pawtucket Red Sox in a 16 inning double header, finishing a suspended game from April 23 that completed just one inning, and then a seven inning game to follow.

In Game 1, the completion of the full suspended game which saw Buffalo starter Jeff Harris allow three runs in the first inning before the rain suspended the game.

Harris would eventually be a minor league pitching coach for the Indians.

2005 7th round pick James Deters picked up where Harris left off and allowed five runs (four earned) in three innings.

One time prospect Nick Pesco came on allowed six runs in 1.2 innings following three scoreless innings from Mike Koplove.

Despite a five run third inning that included a home run from Ryan Mulhern and an RBI double from Jason Cooper, the Bison entered the bottom of the ninth down 14-6 thanks to seven walks between Pesco and Trent Durrington. There was also a wild pitch and a hit by pitch in the inning.

Somehow, Buffalo erupted for nine runs in the bottom of the frame, and it was just as ugly for Pawtucket giving it up as it was for Buffalo in the top of the ninth.

Ben Francisco walked, Hector Luna reached on an error, two batters later Mike Rose was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, Jason Cooper drove in a run with a single, Brad Snyder reached on an error and that forced in a run, Ryan Mulhern doubled in two runs, Luis Rivas reached on a hit by pitch, Ben Francisco singled in a run, Luna doubled another run, and with two outs, Mike Rose walked with the bases loaded.

Rose had two doubles and reached base four times and drove in five. Durrington got the win despite walking two and getting one out.

Game two was a little cleaner.

Sean Smith pitched 5.2 scoreless innings and Bubbie Buzachero finished it off with 1.1 scoreless innings.

Ben Francisco and Jason Cooper both drove in two runs and Hector Luna had two more hits in the five nothing shutout.
